P52 Week 19 & 20

He did it!  So proud of my boy!  We finished homeschooling my son!  So excited! I have been falling behind with my blog.  It was a crazy fast week.  My dad and husband ended up in the ER this last week. CRAZY!  My dad ended up staying in the hospital and was not able to attend the graduation but as you can see my sweet husband was.  My hubby had a horrible case of "Positional Vertigo". My daddy's case is much more complicated and too much to post.  I ended up going to our hometown two times.  Once for a surprise trip for Mother's Day (ended up spending the weekend in the ER and hospital with my dad) and once because my husband was rushed to the ER.  Scared me nuts! Fortunately, there is a short flight to and from where we live to our hometown. So thankful.  God is so good. So praising the Lord for this special time.
Anyway, after 13 long, lovely years, I finished homeschooling my son.  It is crazy how fast it went.  I would not change a thing.  Except maybe the part where I would not worry so much.  But, other than that I am so thankful for homeschooling and thankful to Jesus for blessing me with my beautiful children.
I am sad to close this chapter in his life but I am excited to see the Lord grow my boy.

My girlie girl graduated 8th grade.  So now I will have another high schooler come fall.  But only one student....

Blessings,
Kim

  2. Congrats to your boy - and to you for making it to the end!

What one piece of advice would you give to someone else homeschooling? I've enjoyed most of it... but high school is about doing me in.

    1. One piece??? Keep your eyes focused on Jesus! It is really hard to sum it up with one piece of advice but that is the best advice I know....

  3. Congratulations to you and your son Kim! I'm sure it is so bittersweet. Yea, for the accomplishment, but sad to see him growing up even though you know it's the way it should be. Hope your dad is ok and your husband doesn't have any more problems. Take care!
