P52 Week 17 Plus 366-118

project 52 p52 weekly photo challenge my3boybarians.com

This week's challenge in P52 Challenge was "green."  This is a picture of a tree at a park by our house.  I was late getting my picture posted because I was just plum tired last night.  Ugh! Anyway, here it is....

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and His law he meditates on it day and night. He is a like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Psalms 1:1-3

On Friday we went whale watching for a field trip.  It was foggy, so visibility was poor, but we were able to see some of God's creation.  We saw a momma whale and her baby and followed them for about 6 miles.  We also saw some California sea lions up close and personal.  And as we were heading to shore this seagull was following us way too close.  I am thinking he thought we were a fishing boat and was looking for some scraps.

Kim

For This Child I Prayed....

1 Samuel 1:27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked for.

My sweet boy turned 17 last week!  It has taken me all week to get a post up about his birthday.  We were able to go home to visit family but first we took him out to eat at a yummy italian restaurant. We then headed home for a family visit and then off to the mountains for the closing ski weekend.  That is what he wanted for his birthday.  Time with family, friends and a day snowboarding.

My boy was a baby a minute ago.  No kidding...
He is my answer to prayers... Many, many many prayers... I need to always remember that....
My Jesus blessed me with this sweet boy and I never want to forget what He did!

My boy is not only handsome, strong, smart as all get out, but most important he loves the Lord! I am so blessed to be able to see him turn into a man of God.

God is so good to me!

371. My answered prayer....

372. My Jesus hears my prayers....

373. My boy loves Jesus!

374. I have been so blessed to see him grow into a man...

375. My Jesus cares...

376. Time with my family...

377. Seventeen candles...

378. Oh, and I got to see my sweet grand baby!

P-52 Week 16 Things That Grow

This week the theme for P-52 was "Things that Grow."  Well, that seems to be easy now that we moved. We used to live in the desert and it took a lot of work for things to grow there and a lot of WATER!!! Anyway, these are some pretty flowers that are in my front yard.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Wow! Where did the week go??  Well, I managed to get behind in my 366 pics this last week.  We had a busy week from Easter on....

On Easter weekend my family came out to visit.  It was the first visit for my dad and step mom.  It was very nice visiting them and nice for them to see where we live.  After the Easter morning festivities they took off for home.  My hubby decided it would be nice to go to the beach and have dinner on the pier.  We had our main Easter dinner the night before so a little Mexican food would be great.  We love Mexican food!
We hung around the pier and took some pictures.  After dinner, we walked around the outside shops.  We went inside this amazing photography studio/shop.  I found a little jealousy in my heart of this man's ability... anyway, he told us about the view from this park up the hill.  So, we drove to the top of this hill and encountered this beautiful view and this beautiful cross.  I am not sure, but the cross may be part of the California Missions I mentioned in an earlier post.  Anyway, the view was amazing!  After, we drove down to another Mission and took some pics from the outside.  Did not go in because of time.  Anyway, just so you know, the 6th picture is my girlie girls.

Kim

Passion Week....

This week is a week that reminds us of what Jesus did for us.  Everyday, I want to focus on Him but this week especially.  We went to an art museum over the weekend that had some artwork  from the early 1500's.  We had a professor direct our tour about the Christian World View and how artwork tells about where society is and what they are thinking or doing in their lives.
As we walked through this beautiful museum and went from era to era there was a change.  A subtle
change but nonetheless a change.  The earlier pieces were pictures like the above.  Jesus... Christianity...
God... as we got to the later time periods we saw the difference.   The first changes we saw came with the reformation.  Through the dutch artist the change was more in God's beauty of the things around us.  Then the turn... to selfishness.  The "all about me" syndrome.  Every portrait seemed to show status and look what I have.

The point is that I don't want to be like some of the artist that think only about themselves and what stuff we have.  I want my entire life to surrounded and centered around Jesus.  I want my kids and children to see me and remember that their momma loved Jesus!  That is what this life is about... Jesus!

The bottom two pictures are of pictures after we left the museum.  The first my girlie girl took and the second is of my sweet family on the pier.

Still counting....

352. A great visit at the museum..

353. A nice church service....

354. Time with the family last night playing games...

357. More rain...

358. My boy growing into a man...almost 17!

359. Beautiful flowers growing..

361. That is a change for us this year because of the move....

Happy Easter Week!
