Ireland part 2

This is actually a protestant church even though to me it looks very catholic.
It is not...
and the last picture is a picture of a castle in Dublin.
My mind is blank on the name.
I should of done this months ago...

I love Ireland!

Our Trip to Ireland!

Oh, Ireland! You have my heart!

My husband and I had such a special trip.
We loved our time together and loved the beautiful country of Ireland.

So much green! EVERYWHERE!!!

We started in Dublin and went out daily on a train to different parts of the country.
We really saw a lot for the short week that we were there but I know there is so much more.
Maybe one day, we will go back.

This is a church in Dublin.  And for the life of me, I can't remember the name.

Blessings,
Kim

Last Blog Post About England...

At near the end of our England trip my husband flew in and met us at the Metropolitan Tabernacle (Charles Spurgeon's Church)

We then spent two nights in London.
We rode the London Eye, toured Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey,
Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

The students flew home (including my girlie) and then my husband and I headed to Ireland.

England in Photos

Also while in Bath, we visited Jane Austen's Tea Room and a Art Gallery where the students walked the gardens and did some chalk art.
My girl is an artist so this was super fun for her.
I am trying to find her chalk work but I can't seem to find it in my pics.
This one is another students in the group.

AND...
then we headed to STONEHENGE!
I SAW STONEHENGE!
It is crazy!
It is so weird... it is just on the side of the highway like here I am...

It was another beautiful day.
Apparently in the past, this is the coldest day of the trip, but not this week.

What a blessed week....

More of our England Trip

On another day we visited Bath, England where we saw a Roman Bath from 60-70AD.  Amazing time and I still can't believe I was there!

The first two pictures are from Windsor Castle.
It was beautiful grounds and a beautiful day.

We really had great weather.  Just sprinkling most days and usually sunshine at some point during each day.

More of Oxford....

These pictures are from inside the church located on the University...

I believe C.S. Lewis attended that church while teaching at Oxford.

Oxford University

So I can't remember if this was day 3 or 4 but I do remember the day.
We left Cotswold and headed to Oxford.  We had lunch at the Eagle and the Child.  This is where C.S Lewis and JRR Tolkein would have long conversations about everything but mostly about their writings and about Jesus.  We ate and sat where he ate and sat.  We had conversations with the students about different subjects but mainly about how our life should always point to Christ.
It was so good to listen to young people that are the next generation of believers really comprehend and be able to communicate their affections for the Lord.

While we walked through Oxford, we had to be very quiet because it was exam time for the students.  The students still wear long black robes with hats while doing their exams and they also have a flower in their lapel if they have completed their exams.

BTW- my girlie was not on the grass... she was standing right on the edge of the sidewalk.
Hahaha!

I am still stunned that we were able to go on this trip.  We so enjoyed this and I am so glad I was able to share this with my girl.

Blessings,
Kim
