End of May Reflections

I am reflecting on the busy month of May.  I really can't believe it is over but alas it is.  We had a whirlwind month with all the fesitivies of finishing up school, Senior trips, graduation and then our annual beach house stay.  I found these beautiful pictures from our week at the beach house.  We had a relaxing time and were very blessed to be there with most of our entire family.

God is so good. I have spent a long time reflecting on the time of homeschooling my boy and how it has now come to an end.  It is not easy to close this chapter of my life but I have to.  I am so thankful for the time we had together and for homeschooling.  Really, it is a wonderful thing (most of the time)!
I am also so thankful for this little lady.  Honestly, I don't know what I would do without her?  God knew I needed this beauty and He sent me her just in time.  I have four years ahead of homeschooling just her and I am praying to make the most of everyday.  To count the joys of homeschooling and of being a mommy.

I am truly BLESSED!!!!

Many Blessings,
Kim

P 52 Week 21

My friend says I should be from the South.  I talk to everyone.  Really, it is how you get to know people.  The above pictures are from our vacation last week.   The second picture is of a hummingbird nest on the front porch of a sweet Irish lady I met while vactioning.  We started talking about some cats in the neighborhood and next thing I know she is inviting me over to see these beauties.  They were so adorable and tiny and another testament to our Amazing God!

Have a blessed week...

Beach Time!

Ahhh.....

A week at the beach house.  The school books are put up and our summer has begun.  A family tradition for the last 8 years.  Time to unwind and relax.

The school year went super fast.  I am still a little stunned that we are done with my boy!  I am going to enjoy every second of summer because in the fall he is off to college.  Tear... But for now I am just enjoying the time we have together.

Oh and did I mention, my cutie grandsons are with us??

Have a blessed weekend...

P52 Week 19 & 20

He did it!  So proud of my boy!  We finished homeschooling my son!  So excited! I have been falling behind with my blog.  It was a crazy fast week.  My dad and husband ended up in the ER this last week. CRAZY!  My dad ended up staying in the hospital and was not able to attend the graduation but as you can see my sweet husband was.  My hubby had a horrible case of "Positional Vertigo". My daddy's case is much more complicated and too much to post.  I ended up going to our hometown two times.  Once for a surprise trip for Mother's Day (ended up spending the weekend in the ER and hospital with my dad) and once because my husband was rushed to the ER.  Scared me nuts! Fortunately, there is a short flight to and from where we live to our hometown. So thankful.  God is so good. So praising the Lord for this special time.
Anyway, after 13 long, lovely years, I finished homeschooling my son.  It is crazy how fast it went.  I would not change a thing.  Except maybe the part where I would not worry so much.  But, other than that I am so thankful for homeschooling and thankful to Jesus for blessing me with my beautiful children.
I am sad to close this chapter in his life but I am excited to see the Lord grow my boy.

My girlie girl graduated 8th grade.  So now I will have another high schooler come fall.  But only one student....

Blessings,
Kim

P 52 Week 18

This week is all about my girl's pictures.....
Really, I don't know what I would do without her.  She is so helpful to me and honestly everyone needs a "go to girl" and that is what I have with her.

Let's be honest... mothering is exhausting, throw in schooling and you can easily be overwhelmed.  I have all these wonderful ideas about how some special times should turn out but I really get overwhelmed and end up doing a mediocre job instead of a superior.  In walks my girlie girl.  I tell her my idea and she goes with it.  Not just a little but does a spectacular job! My boy turned 18 last month.  I had all these ideas but lack of energy to follow through.  I tell my girl and she does them all with a great attitude and a fervor that only the young and energetic have.. : ) She made my boy the candy bouquet, decorated his bedroom with balloons (we saw this idea on Pinterst) and made him breakfast while he was at a science class and I was on a run.  And then we decorated this cute frame for his party of his growing up years... hence the picture of him holding her... SO SWEET!!! I am so thankful for her!  God blessed me so much with her...

The other two pictures are of her kitty and the other is flowers from home school formal.

Blessings,
Kim
