Looking back makes me so thankful that I am a picture person.  It really makes me remember what a beautiful life we live.  The Lord has been so gracious and full of mercy this year and always.

P52 Week 47 Plus 1000 Gifts...

Oh my goodness!  

We are up at our cabin and loving the time together and the best thing is my hubby is on VACATION!!!  He works so hard for his family and we are so thankful for him.

The only set back is my boy was not able to join us.  We are meeting up tomorrow in our home town for Thanksgiving with our family. One of my girls best friends, that she has known since she was 3, was able to join us for a time a skiing. While we were up here we decided to do a little photo shoot and I think I have a few keepers…

P52 Week 46 Plus 1000 Gifts....

It's beginning to look a lot like bokeh season!  So fun!  These are some pictures from our trip to Seattle. I couldn't resist taking some pics of the lights.  Which reminds me, we put our Christmas tree up this last weekend!  Wow!  So early.  Usually, I am very strict person that says no tree until after Thanksgiving.  But, we are not hosting Thanksgiving, so I thought, why not get our house all festive and ready for the season.

P52- Week 44 & 45 Plus 1000 Gifts....

Whew....

What a crazy few weeks.....

I can't even remember why I have not blogged except that I have been BUSY!  We went to our hometown this past week to attend my friend Denise's baby's adoption party.  Man, is that correct punctuation?  Not sure... anyway, in addition, my sweet friend wanted me to give a small talk about home schooling to her home school group of mommas.  It was a sweet time with these awesome ladies.  And I got to see so many people that I LOVE so much! That was AWESOME!!!!  I did not take one picture of that night.  I was too focused on the "talk." Oh, well.... then I was home for one day and the next day we went with my hubby to Seattle for work over the weekend.  Whew... Now that I am home, I am paralyzed with what to do.  Of course, I need to focus on my girls school, because I still home school her... but need less to say, I would rather blog.. HAHAHAHA!!! She is really at her Art History class and a friend picked her up.  Yay!
So the pictures are of a beautiful flower in my yard, my girl at Halloween dressed up as a 60's girl and lastly a picture from our walk around Seattle.

I feel like I am always behind.... I actually got my camera out this week and was excited to post some pics that I took of my girl.  It was totally last minute and not planned at all.  She was waiting for her friends to come over and I said let's go in the front yard and take some pics.  She begrudgingly said yes...ugh!  Anyway, I thought they came out pretty good.

So here we are at week 42 and I skipped last week.  Time sure does go by fast. I took these pictures at a field trip.  The ones of my girl are totally candid.  She was talking away to a friend and I snapped away.  I decided to try a texture on the second one.  It looks kind of artsy.

Signs of Fall!

Yay!  I took my camera out and used it this week.  We also decorated our house for Fall and today I even made pumpkin cookies.  Yum!

We had a calm day and did not have to go out, which is why I am able to post these pics.

P52 Week 39 Plus 1000 Gifts....

Today, we have a Disney hangover... this is a saying my friend and I came up with after spending all day at Disneyland and then have to get up the next day and get moving.
So that is where I am coming from...

These pics were taken in two different locations... one up North and one down South.  I did not intentionally shoot with my camera this week, although, I did think of it often.  Really, I don't know why I am not shooting.

Anyway, this week was a good one but I am feeling melancholy for my hometown.  We had a difficult summer and sometimes I just want to go home and be "normal" or have my old life back.  Please, don't get me wrong, I have a really good life here or there.  Jesus has redeemed me and what else can I ask for?  I just plain hate changes.  I thought I was doing good but then with my boy leaving for college and the fact that we are super busy with school I started to get lonesome for the "good old days." Dumb huh?  I know when Denise reads this, she will smack me upside the head.  Which I probably need.

Anyway, enough of that....
I found a new blog, that I love... it is http://tarahlowry.blogspot.com She is fun and decorates super cute. Anyway, she had this post about what she learned in September and I thought it would be fun to do.  So, here it is....

What I learned in September:

Not sure I know what I am doing with my blog?? But for now, this is it...

I learned I really miss my boy.... but we have been able to see him a lot because he comes home more than we thought! Yay!

I learned that my house is really quiet when the two kids are separated for miles. : (
I don't like the quiet...

I relearned that I am a procrastinator and I am procrastinating right now! Ugh!

I learned that a true friend sticks closer than a brother.  I am blessed beyond belief with my sweet friends and NOTHING comes between us!

P52 Week 37 & 38 Plus 1000 Gifts...

Fall is finally in the air.  When I went on my morning run I had to wear my longer pants.  I am wimpy when it comes to the cold (Denise can verify that).

I thought just schooling one kiddo would slow us down a bit.  It seems that I am trying to make up for the quietness in our home by over scheduling my daughter.  Actually, we have some great opportunities in the home school world out here and I did not want to say no to them.
Trying to keep focused....

Consequently, my photography has been put on the back burner.  I am the "official" photographer for our Awana Club so these are pics from club the other night.  We had an awesome professor come in from a Christian college in our area.  He went over the book of 1 Corinthians.  It was deep and meaty for the high school students but that is what I like.  God's Word is God's Word. Watering it down is not needed. Oh and did I mention it was food night.  That is always a yummy time.

P52 Week 36

This is not my photo... my girlie girl set this baby up.  She has an eye if I say so myself.  So we are on week 3 of school and I think this is when life is gonna get busy for us.  My girlie girl is taking some outside classes and they start this week.  Trying to enjoy life even when it gets a little crazy!
