Summer camp blues....My girlie girl is just fine driving to summer camp. I, was having a cow, quietly! She is my baby!!
Finally there.... and taking a hay ride to her cabin. I could use your prayers this week. Never...ever...has she been away from me other than leaving her with my parents. Which, they are just extensions of me!!! So she is now 2 hours away from me. I wonder what she is doing?

This tree actually grows above a cave. It is so cool... we actually went into the caves with flash lights. They were made from a volcano many years ago.

We went camping for 5 days this week! It was nice to get outdoors and to be in God's country. It was much cooler and oh the beauty of God's creation! We had no internet and so I am a little behind in posting. Here are a few pics from the week.

On Saturday I ran a 10K. I have ran many 5k's but this was my first 10k. I did it with army girl and my friend Denise. My handsome boy downloaded some new music on my ipod and we were off! We did it in 1 hr 6 mins. My friend and I have the running fever now and have a hankering to run a half marathon. There is one in December. Pondering.....

Oh, it has been a busy week.... We have done a lot of running around and having fun with our older daughter home. We finished school last Friday and had our promotion night at church with our home school group that night. Today is the actual first day of summer for this family! We will be reading some great books over the summer, organizing, buying new curriculum and finally we are going to paint my sweet girls room. I actually have a list a mile long. I am determined to get started on it. So, you may ask what I did today? Well, umm... I did laundry, made my list, napped, and now I am blogging... Oh, did I say napped? I did run in this awful heat this morning, which is why I needed the nap. :)
Anyway, here are some pics of lunch out with the girls this weekend. Myself, dil, step mom, my sweet girl, and army girl.

On Memorial Day we got up early and decided to take a bike ride. We decided on the Red Rock Loop, which is a 15 mile loop. My girlie girl stayed with a friend, (better for everyone :) and we headed out. It took us 2 and 1/2 hours to complete it. The first 6 miles is straight up. It was exhausting and a hard ride but well worth it. We all survived and had a good time. We actually want to do it again. We will have to "train" girlie girl to come along. It is not something you can do if you are not prepared. Especially for a 10 year old.
