365-359-361 Christmas Day
Wow! Christmas flew by in a heart beat! I am still trying to grasp that it is over. Soon my decorations will be down and we will be back to school. In some ways, I look forward to it, in others, not so much. What a blessed Christmas we had this year. We were able to get out of our comfort zone and do something different this year. On Christmas morning, we served breakfast at a women's shelter. We actually were up and out of our house EARLY! We got there at 5:00 am to set up and then the ladies and precious children came down to eat. We were able to serve and share with them. So many hurting lives.... One, it causes you to wonder "why" and "how" and then it comes down to Romans 3:23- We have ALL fallen short of the Glory of God. Some of us, just hide it better than others. These ladies come from all walks and races. Who knows what has happened to them in their lives either by their own choices or by sins from others. All I know is that they need JESUS!!! I need JESUS!!!! It was a privilege to serve along side my children, husband and friends. It is an honor to serve my King!
When we got home, we did our usual gifts, breakfast and time with family. But the faces of the ladies, the children and the conversations with them will NEVER leave my heart and my mind. Lord Jesus, use ME!!!!
He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Proverbs 14:31 NIV

The pictures are not very good, because I was in a hurry and I had my daughter's camera. Oh, well..... you can get the drift....

Trying to keep my head above water these days.... as well as to keep my focus on Jesus! Here are a couple of pics from the past few days. We have had many parties, the Christmas play at church, wrapping, cooking and pretty much doing the normal stuff that moms are supposed to do.
My girlie girl had a solo in the Christmas play this year. She did amazingly well! There was not a dry eye in the house. It was a very touching song. I have a couple of pictures of her getting ready and then one on stage.
This year we are doing a Jesse Tree devotional everyday. I got it from Holy Experience. Boy, she is amazing! The Jesse Tree is awesome as well. It really gets our hearts and mind prepared for the real reason we celebrate Christmas!
Blessings and Merry Christmas!

I have been BUSY!!! Have not had much time to blog.... So here are a few pics to share. The first two are of a Girls Bible Club that my girlie girl is involved in. We decorated cookies and made those cute candy holders. The last few pics are from our weekend trip to San Diego. We had an medical emergency in the family. On our way to the airport we visited Little Italy in downtown San Diego. We had a nice italian dinner. Anyway, I have a theme going on with the pictures... any guesses?
6 more days to Christmas. Is everyone ready?
Blessings,
Kim

365-337-340 Half Marathon!
WE DID IT!!!!!
We made it to the finish line in one piece! Praise Jesus! We did the race in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Our goal was to not walk at all. I had some problems around mile 9. My music died. My ipod is now going in the trash. I think it is old and will not hold a charge for long. My sweet friend must have saw the exhaustion on my face because she gave me her music. Now that is self-less!!!! She also encouraged me to keep going when I started to walk. I walked about 20 seconds 4 times during the race. It was hard but because of Jesus and my awesome friend, we made it! It was really like a blur... Not until 2 hours after the race did it hit me that I RAN a half marathon. Of course, now I can't move! Anyway, my husband took some pics of the experience and I thought I would share.
Thanks to everyone that prayed for me.
Blessings,
Kim

365-331-335 Family Traditions!
This weekend we did our annual Christmas tree hunt. We have done this for years with our fab friends. We go up to the mountains and find the perfect un-perfect tree. It usually involves trudging through snow, and depending on the year, depends how much snow. This will also determine how long we actually look for one. Hence, lots of snow, little time spent. Little snow, long trip looking for the "it" tree. We had to trudge through about 3 feet of snow to come up with our tree this year. So, needless to say, it did not take but about an hour. After getting it home, I am thinking it is a little skinny and looks likes it needs to be fattened up. Anyway, it is about the adventure, right?
Oh, also did our first day of Advent today. It was nice.
Blessings,
Kim

365-223-228 Happy Thanksgiving!
What a blessed day! We had a wonderful dinner with family and fun fellowship. My girlie girl helped me out all day and the day before getting dinner prepared. After we were all stuffed we sat around and read our "Thankful For" list. When everyone came over they filled out a paper feather listing what they were thankful for. After dinner, we read them out loud. We also have a tradition in our house, we all have a chance wearing the turkey feathers. We have been doing this about 10 years now!
Love to look at the pictures of that over they years.... too funny!
Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving...
1Chronicles 16:34 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Blessings,
Kim
