P-52 Week 13 Details

This weeks challenge is "Details."  I had nothing! Nothing!
My girl came up with her beautiful picture of her kitty cat.  The details in his eyes.

My attempt was the details of our monopoly game that we were playing tonight.  I have to pay attention to the details or my kids will run me off the board! : )

A surprise in my backyard.  We moved into the new house in August of last year. I had no idea that these beauties were growing in the ground.  To our surprise we have these beautiful flowers to enjoy!

We visited one of the California missions.  There are 22 up the coast of California.  They are from around the 1700's.  The original purpose of the missions were for the Catholic Monks to teach the American Indians about Jesus.  Although, I am not Catholic, it was great to see the history and the architecture of the buildings.  Also, Jesus was portrayed in all the artwork.  Above is the story of the cross.
We would like to visit more.

Lately, I feel like we are on one continuous field trip!

These pictures are from our weekend in Seattle.  What a whirlwind trip but we had fun!  We got to spend some time with our oldest daughter and our grand kids.  Here are some pictures of Seattle.  The first is of the Space Needle.  The second is of my girlie girl with her niece (my grand baby) and the last is of my grandson and my girlie girl in front of the GUM WALL! YUCK!!! Literally, thousands of pieces of gum stuck to a wall.  It is funny but gross.  I have one of my girl sticking her piece on the wall.  This picture is funny because my grandson was warned not to touch it!  Umm... he was trying to freak me out by pretending he was going to touch it.  It worked but Praise Jesus he did not touch it!

 It is funny that my girlie girl has nieces and nephews that are a few years younger than her but that is just how it worked out : )

What a quick week we have had.  So thankful for this beautiful weekend and the last few days.  We had an opportunity to visit with our oldest daughter and our grand babies!  That is always an exciting time for us : )

P52-Week 11 "Eyes of March"

This weeks theme was the "Eyes of March."  I thought I would take a picture of my boy's beautiful green/blue eyes.  Well, as you can see I cropped the picture and narrowed it down to one.  If you look close you can see my reflection in his eyes.  So cool!
