Relaxing day…
I was thinking about a question that was asked by some teens the other day at a "sleepover" for our teen bible study group. The question was "what is your favorite bible verse"? I was taken aback and had to think. Of course, I have had many verses over the years hit home and really grab me but the one that came to mind is Romans 3:23 For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. The reason I thought of that is because sometimes we can compare one mother to another or one home schooler to another but forget that we ALL fall short…
Later, as I was thinking about it, I thought of Romans 5:8 "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". That is really what it is all about. Yes, we all fall short but Christ died for us. We are made new because of His Great Love for US!!!!
Just some food for thought…

ReplyDeleteLove that both of your verses are Awana verses! My favorite verse... same thing as you, I've had many over the years.
This is one I've be mulling over for awhile. Matthew 10:37 "Anyone who loves their father and mother more than me is not worth of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me."
A reminder to me to put my relationship with Christ first... not to neglect my family but remember that my relationship with HIM is more important.
