I am finally getting these pictures up from our mission to Mexico! We have been home a week and a half.
My heart is so full! When I look at these pics and the moments that are captured it makes me so sad at how fast the time went by.
How do I describe what we experienced?
The joy and love and the sadness and despair all in one photo.
Our team built 16 houses while down there. Again, the houses are not what we are used to. Even our worst houses are grand in comparison. But, the homes were all well received and we were all loved on by our guests. It was a blessing to be able to do this for the people.
I loved working with the youth of our church. It is such an awesome opportunity to see the kids loving and serving.
We visited two orphanages and the dump. I was not on the team to visit the dump so I don't have stories for that. I heard it was an experience like none other. Maybe next year? If the Lord allows.
The orphanages are filled with beautiful children. Oh gosh! Look at them!
They were wanting love and affection. We gave them as much as we could in the time allowed and then had to leave. When we left the kids were hanging on to our teens not wanting them to leave.
When we got in the van to go back to our base, we all cried. It was all too much to take in.
The Lord is working mightily in Mexico. I love to be able to experience this by seeing His work.
In distance, it is not far for us to travel but, it is worlds apart.
Blessings,
Kim
