Woke up with a little white stuff on the ground.  It melted before long….

Then headed to the pond to fish.  Later, we made fish tacos with our catch.

We are so West coast that we made fish tacos.  My dad would have had a fish fry.  Lol…

Anyway, I am still counting….

Relaxing day…

I was thinking about a question that was asked by some teens the other day at a "sleepover" for our teen bible study group.  The question was "what is your favorite bible verse"? I was taken aback and had to think.  Of course, I have had many verses over the years hit home and really grab me but the one that came to mind is Romans 3:23 For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. The reason I thought of that is because sometimes we can compare one mother to another or one home schooler to another but forget that we ALL fall short… 

Later, as I was thinking about it, I thought of Romans 5:8 "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".  That is really what it is all about.  Yes, we all fall short but Christ died for us.  We are made new because of His Great Love for US!!!!

These are remnants of my birthday weekend...

They are all taken with my iPhone. 

We went many miles on that bicycle built for two!  Had a great time.  My hubby bought it about 6 months ago and I think it was a great idea.  We have fun with it.

The picture of the beach access was crazy.  We went down 1000 steps.  It didn't seem like it so we decided they must mean 500 down and 500 up.

The yummy desserts came when I got home from Army girl.  They were delicious and they were gone in a blink of an eye.

Lastly, this bottle is from one of our favorite restaurants in SB.  This is the biggest bottle of Tabasco I have ever seen.....

What a beautiful weekend we had...

My hubby took me away for the 3 day weekend to Santa Barbara.  It was my birthday weekend.  On Sunday, the kids drove up and we had lunch together and spent some time on the beach.
