So I am forever behind....

Not even sure what day we are supposed to be on.

Anyway, we took a small trip to Seattle.  I was able to get my camera out and take pictures of some of the cool stuff Seattle has to offer.  

The cutest stuff is of course some of my grandkids live there....

After the week on the beach for vacation, my daughter's youth group went to Summer Camp at Hume Lake.  I went as a counselor.  It was a great experience to share in the beauty of the mountains and God's majesty.  I was in a room of incoming Freshmen girls.  We had a lot of fun and learning time.  

I love to be used by God.  Even if it means late, late nights and early mornings...

My girlie girl was in a different cabin and I rarely saw her during the week.  But, I was there to be a counselor not a momma.  Even though, it is hard to turn that part of my brain off.  It all worked out.

Every year for the last 10 years we have rented the same beach house in San Diego.  This is what we have been doing this week.  We love this place.  One, for the memories and for the familiarity and also for the relaxation.  

This week we have seen a lot of the scenes above.  We have sand in our toes and as much as I try not to, we are all a little sunburned.  

Oh, and I LOVE to run on the beach!  The best running ever!  I mean ever!

These are totally random photos.  The first one cracks me up.  We went to take the dog for a walk last week and we can't find the leash.  My dog loves her leash.  We looked everywhere and to no avail.  No leash.  We ended up just using something from the garage that night.  Next night, same thing... no leash.  We looked in the place where it belongs... of course, it is not there!  Ugh! I am getting frustrated, like "what happened to the leash?"  Honestly!  Again, we take her without it.  A couple of days later and I notice my dog keeps going to my dresser and just sitting there staring up.  What is she doing??? I look on my dresser to see what is up there... nothing she would want.  THEN I OPEN THE DRAWER!!!! AND GUESS WHAT IS INSIDE???!! Yep, the LEASH!!! LOL!!!  She knew where it was the entire time.  My daughter, in a rush one day, slips it into my top drawer.  And that is where the leash went.  Crazy!

We went to my home town last week for a wedding, my grandson's birthday and to visit my friend.

It was really nice to see everyone and especially hang out with our grandkids. Our youngest turned 2!  

While we visited our older son showed us how he has taught our 3 year old grandson to catch lizards. Yikes!  So, we had to go lizard hunting.  They caught about 6 lizards.  It is a catch and release program but they hung out with us for the afternoon.  Some of them are pretty big!

The dog was longingly looking at the lizards in hopes of a little snack. LOL!
