Game Day over Here....

My entire family, except my smart daddy and one older daughter are Charger fans.  I don't mind them and I can tolerate them if they are not in competition with my team.  Which, I might add, has not done anything in years.... Anyway, everyone in this household was pulling for the Chargers today (including me) because they are my second favorite.  If you are married to a man that loves the Chargers, after 24 years, it kind of rubs off on you.  Again, not withstanding that they are playing my team.  Cowboys, in case you are wondering.

The first picture was taken before the game.  With high hope.  No such luck.  Poor team.

And the last picture was taken while watching the game.  My cute dog wanted some of my snacks.  

I was playing with my camera while watching the game.  I usually can't just sit.

School is in full swing... 

Trying to keep my camera going.  I took the first picture and my girlie took the second.  She is getting good and will be taking a photography class this semester.  I think I am as excited as she is.

 I saw Kristal's beautiful picture and I thought I would try to re-create a similar one.  I would say I did an okay job but not even close to hers.  And that is why I am doing this 365 again.  To take more pictures and to learn more.

366-5 & 6 Plus 1000 Gifts...

Saturday and Sunday we spent the days hanging out at the house un-decorating.  As I was putting my stuff away, I wanted to take a few more pics.  The first picture is of an ornament my sweet friend gave me.  I love the twist on the old saying or song,  "Jesus Loves Me This I Know".  How about "Jesus Knows Me This I Love".  He knows me....and He still loves me....

I was looking over some of my notes from church and I happen to stumble on a quote from someone...I usually write really fast and I don't always write who the quotes are from....

Here is the quote: "Jesus loves us just the way we are.  There is nothing we can do that will make Him love us less.  Do we love others this way or do we keep a list of wrongs"?  Aren't you glad our relationship with Jesus is not performance based?  If that were the case, most of us would be in a world of trouble.  Do we love others that way?  With performance in mind?  If we are being honest, I would think that most of us do this without even knowing that we do...

I want to love intentionally and try not to do this to my kids, husband and friends...that is one of the goals I have for this year.

I want to have "My Father's Eyes".

We are home from our family visit and our vacation.  My boy stayed back in our home town to work for a few weeks while on Winter break from school.  My house is quiet again and I have to say I don't like it at all.  I am feeling the lonesomeness come back again.  Tomorrow will be busy taking my tree down and unpacking so that should help.
